Sylte Studios | Terms and Conditions for Photography Work
Version 0.2 | Updated October 1. 2021.

OVERVIEW

Sylte Studios creates photographic work and provides creative direction and production services. Our approach to image licensing follows industry standards, granting specific usage rights for defined applications and time periods. This framework encompasses all photography, and production services, and related intellectual property.

FINANCIAL TERMS

Production begins with a 50% retainer, due at time of booking or 4 weeks before a production. Final payment, including any additional services, is required upon delivery. Usage rights are granted only upon receipt of full payment. All fees exclude VAT, which applies to Norwegian entities only.

COPYRIGHT & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All images are protected under copyright law and remain the intellectual property of the photographer. Sylte Studios serves as the exclusive licensing representative for photographer Alexander Sylte.

DELIVERY SPECIFICATIONS

Final assets are delivered via secure digital transfer, with access through direct download or cloud storage. Standard deliverables include optimized JPEG files in sRGB color space.

LICENSING TERMS

All intellectual property rights remain with the creator. Licenses are issued for specific purposes and durations. Attribution is mandatory under Copyright Act §3, unless formally waived. Standard credit: Photo: Alexander Sylte / syltestudios.com

Standard licenses are valid for one year from delivery. Usage beyond this period requires renewal. Extensions and upgrades are available. Unauthorized usage will incur additional licensing fees and associated legal costs.

Commercial licensing applies to all paid advertising, including social media. Individual licenses may be upgraded. Licenses cannot be transferred.

Third-party usage requires prior agreement. Comprehensive rights are available at premium rates.

PRODUCTION AMENDMENTS

Additional post-production and modifications are charged at studio rates. Supplementary requirements affect final invoicing.

CANCELLATION PROTOCOL

Cancellations result in forfeiture of the 50% retainer. Any cancellation made within 14 working days of production will incur the full project fee plus any associated costs.

ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS

Alexander Sylte, Sylte Studios, and our creative crew maintain the right to showcase commissioned work across various platforms and contexts for professional discourse and marketing purposes. All work remains non-exclusive and available for licensing to other parties, unless explicitly arranged otherwise. Works may be featured in our archives, portfolio, and exhibitions.

These terms apply specifically to photographic work.
