Photography Production Process

We run productions with a clear structure and professional standards—scaling the team and scope to match the brief, usage, and delivery needs. If your team doesn’t have an in-house producer or art buyer, Sylte Studios can manage the full production—planning, staffing, scheduling, and on-set workflow.

At every stage, the goal is the same: clear decision-making, predictable delivery, and imagery that holds up creatively and commercially.

Overview

  • We define objectives, deliverables, usage, timeline, and budget. References and initial visual direction are aligned early, so expectations are clear. We confirm responsibilities (client vs. studio), and formalise the booking with an order confirmation and advance payment.

  • We develop the concept and production plan: casting, locations / studio, styling approach, set considerations, schedule, and a working shot list. The core team is assembled (stylist, HMU, set / prop where relevant), and we align all suppliers.

  • We lock technical requirements: lighting approach, camera / lens package, capture format, colour references, and file management. When needed, we coordinate a digital tech and set up an efficient review flow for client approvals on set.

  • We execute the shoot with a defined plan and clear roles—creative direction, lighting, styling, and capture. Clients are involved in approvals, and we maintain quality control against the brief throughout the day.

  • We provide a structured selection process: contact sheets or previews, curation, and a clear handover to final selects. Usage scope and licensing are confirmed before retouching begins.

  • Retouching, clean-up, and colour are handled with consistency across the set—either in-house or with trusted partners for larger volumes. Standard delivery is typically within 10 working days after final selects (timelines may vary by scope).

  • Final files are delivered in the required formats (web, e-commerce, print) with clear naming conventions. We archive production assets and maintain documentation for future updates, re-licensing, or repeat shoots.

Production teams built for the brief: We bring together experienced assistants, stylists, hair & makeup, and specialist crew—selected for each project’s demands, budget, and timeline.

Clear structure, flexible scale: Services range from focused one-day shoots to multi-location campaigns. Each collaboration begins with direct dialogue and a defined scope—so the work can move efficiently without compromising quality.
